It's a powerful and positive tool!
In my previous blog, I underscored the importance of setting your intention and compared it to setting the roadmap of your life - consciously creating your destination. If you’ve set your intention congratulations! You probably noticed how your subconscious worked its magic in highlighting opportunities to fulfill your intention.
Setting your intention is one thing, but you may be wondering how do you now move from intention to action to ultimate fulfilment, and what tools can help?
My overarching intention for 2017 is to be a better listener, as I believe this will improve my quality of life in many areas, including strengthening relationships – a biggie!! However, being a great listener is hard work! Physiologically, when it comes to listening, we’re fighting an uphill battle. We speak at a rate of approximately 125 wpm and our brain can process information at the speed of 400 wpm creating an obvious opportunity for your mind to wander! In the past couple of weeks, I’ve tried to diligently practice active listening but noticed I still struggled with keeping my focus and unwavering attention. I then recalled that meditation has helped me in so many areas of my life – why not use it to boost my listening skills?
I can’t say enough about the power and positive influence that meditation has had on all areas of my life and now, listening. Believe me, meditation works! Morning meditations are most beneficial and will have a profound influence in moving you toward your desired intention throughout your day. Free guided morning meditations are available online.
