Now that fall has arrived, it is time to relax and recharge as we say goodbye to the season of holidaying and sun bathing. Getting back into the ‘groove’ of things can be challenging and if you’re finding this is the case, try some of these simple tips to de-stress this fall.
Tip 1: Get out of the Office
Although the weather may be cooling down, it is still important to get out of your workplace for a few moments each day. Whether you go for a short walk around the building or catch a breath of fresh air on the way down to the coffee shop, moving around can help to not only lower your stress levels but also inspire creativity.
Tip 2: Meditate
Fall may be a beautiful season, but as the days shorten and the temperatures drop many of us lose sight of our ‘happy place’. When you’re feeling stressed and longing for a break, put yourself back on the beach (or wherever you’re most relaxed) through meditation. Consistent meditation can improve mood and productivity. Imagine what it could do for you! I find morning meditations to be very effective in not only helping me relax but also helping me reach my goals.
Tip 3: Drink Green Tea
What better way to stay warm in the crisp autumn air than with a hot drink? Green tea is so much more than just a soothing drink. It is also packed with anti-oxidants and theanine, which promotes relaxation.
